Job Description

An award winning, leading property management company in the Bay Area and San Joaquin County is seeking an experienced, motivated self-starter for a Property Manager in our Stockton location. This candidate will be a key contributor to the company’s day-to-day property management responsibilities, reporting to the home office. This candidate will be passionate about helping others and committed to an exciting long-term opportunity as a key player growing our rental business. Job Responsibilities:

  • Perform a wide range of leasing functions, including but not limited to, showing apartment units, pre-qualifying applicants, gathering complete applications, and structuring leasing packages.
  • Spearhead all marketing efforts related to prospecting new tenants including advertise property vacancies using current marketing tools such as web-based platforms and other industry-proven methods.
  • Develop relationships with local community and acts as the brand ambassador for the company.
  • Conduct Move-In Orientation.
  • Maintain proactive communication with tenants regarding reported issues, planned maintenance, lease renewals, or other tenancy-related topics.
  • Process rent payments and reconcile other charges as necessary to keep accounts current.
  • Create and circulate weekly, monthly, quarterly and annual reporting.
  • Represent the company to prospective applicants, real estate agents and brokers in a courteous and professional manner, always putting customer service first.
  • Walk and inspect vacant units to ensure the best quality for our residents.
  • Perform necessary administration functions related to a successful property management office.
  • Maintain an ongoing knowledge of laws and local codes related to landlord rights, tenant rights, and multifamily properties.
  • Responsible for identifying and implementing best practices to optimize the property management business.

Working hours: 8:30 AM - 5:30 PM, Monday-Friday, occasional weekends for important showings.

Requirements and Skills:

  • Fluent Spanish – preferred
  • Leasing/Real Estate Experience (3-5 years)
  • Must have knowledge of tenant, eviction and fair housing laws and local codes pertaining to the multifamily industry
  • Must be able to demonstrate high level computer proficiency in Outlook, Word, and Excel
  • Strong interpersonal skills
  • Proven desire and ability to work well within a team
  • Supervisory experience (2 years)
  • Solid financial analysis, bookkeeping and account reconciliation
  • Solid organization and administrative skills
  • Strong marketing and sales skills
  • Superior customer service and resident relations experience
  • Must have a reliable car with insurance
  • Willing to travel locally
